Well, here we are. It's the last day of school and the last blog post for Miss Diane's class.
In many ways this was just a normal day. We started with books and puzzles, sang songs at circle time, participated in center activities, and then played with our friends.

Miss Diane ended the day by giving each student a small gift to say goodbye.
Saying goodbye is difficult and can be sad but I just remind myself of how fortunate I am to have been part of a wonderful group of people that included Miss Diane, her team, her students, and their families.
So instead of being sad let's just think about all of our exciting new adventures and celebrations that lie ahead.
Enjoy your summer and best of luck to you all.

What a wonderful Wednesday! Today was party day. We sang songs, watched a movie, and then ate ice cream sandwiches. It was perfect! Normally I don't update the blog on Wednesdays but I wanted to send out the links to the year-end videos. Just click below.

See you tomorrow!

Today in Miss Diane's class we were all sad. Well, not really. But we did talk about being sad, we read a story about feeling sad, and then we watched a short cartoon about a lamb that was sad.
When the story started the lamb was happy because he had such beautiful wool. He was so happy that he had to dance!
But then the rancher came and sheared off all of his wool. This made the lamb feel sad because he thought he looked funny.
But then a jackalope came by and taught the lamb that this was just a little deal and that he could still be happy when he was pink.
And from then on, the lamb was happy even when he was pink.

We had fun in centers today. We found bugs in the soil at the sensory table and we played in the moon sand. Some of us also did some golf ball painting and drew chalk pictures at the easel.

The flower shop was open today as was the train table and building area.

Miss Lynette read a story to both classes about planting a sunflower seed.
And the morning class wished a friend a happy birthday.

Snack in the morning was strawberries, whipped cream, and cupcakes. Snack in the afternoon was strawberries, whipped cream, and cheese crackers.
