Today we made bagel pizzas to wrap up our pizza unit.  Also, Miss Elaine came to visit.  She helps us develop our strength and balance so that we have good fine motor skills.  We were very busy today so we just have a few pictures.  Have a great weekend!

Today we turned the morning students into pizzas. We kneaded the dough, stretched the dough, rolled the dough, put on the toppings, and then put it all in the oven. This was, of course, inspired by the book, "Pete's a Pizza."

Aha! There it is!

Miss Diane helps us find puzzles that are just right.

Here we are playing musical chairs.

In the afternoon we played a game that involved sorting toys into categories.  We had to decide whether the toy belonged in the food group, the animal group, or the transportation (things that go) group.  We also counted as high as we could and then we had some time to play.

Today's snack was apples, peanut butter, and animal crackers.

Busy, Busy.

Today we started our day with books and puzzles and then sang songs at circle time.  We tapped out our ABC's and 123's with rhythm sticks.  We also found our name cards and then put them on a chart that showed how we got to school (by bus or car). We enjoyed our centers where we made playdough pizza and we spent some time in the pizza kitchen.
Whew! Preschool is hard work!

Today we continued with our pizza unit. We sequenced the steps for making an English muffin pizza. Then, in the afternoon, we read "Pete's a Pizza," and we turned our friends into pizzas. It was silly.

Today we were again busy at the Pizza restaurant keeping with the pizza theme.  Our PM class made English muffin pizzas which were either pepperoni or plain cheese.  All of the children made choices between the two and ate them ravenously. This is a great sequencing activity which we will continue to reinforce next week with a picture sequence game.  Our AM class spent time outside with the Occupational Therapist and as you can see they thoroughly enjoyed the slide, swings and all of the climbing structures.  Enjoy the weekend!
