Happy Halloween!
We had a fun day today.  We began our day as usual by completing puzzles and reading books. Then we did something special.  We went out into the courtyard and had a pumpkin hunt.

Look at what we found!

After we each found a pumpkin, we brought it back inside and painted it.  We will bring our pumpkins home tomorrow.

We also practiced our chant, "The Five Little Pumpkins."  Some of us held pumpkin stick puppets and some of us got to make ghost and wind noises through "spooky tubes."  It was silly and fun.

After that we played in the kitchen, at the sensory table, and at the train table.

Yea! A helper!

Finally, it was snack time.  We ate spiders, pumpkins, ghosts, and witches. Not really. we ate pretzels, and crackers with peanut butter and some orange Jello jigglers. YUM!

If you are going trick-or-treating tonight, please be safe. See you tomorrow.

Hey! We are back and we had a great day!
We learned a pumpkin chant called "5 Little Pumpkins" in the morning class and in both classes we played a game called "Pumpkins in the Patch."

Miss Diane read a book to us called "Orange Pumpkin, Orange Pumpkin, What Do You See?" and then we got to color pictures in our own copies of the story to take home and read with you. We also played with orange playdough and had an orange snack - goldfish crackers and clementines.

So you may have noticed that there were no blog postings last week but we did take some photos and they are too cute not to share.
Enjoy!
