Today we were very busy at school.  We started our circle time with the parade, of course. Then we started learning some holiday songs. We sang "Jingle Bells" and "Up on the Housetop." While we sang "Jingle Bells" we all had a set of bells that we played while we sang.  While singing "Up on the Housetop" we jumped up everytime the word "up" was used in the song, and we knelt down everytime the word "down" was used.

Then we went outside to play before the weather gets colder later this week.  We did a lot of swinging today and talked about the concepts of high, low, push, and pull.

After we finished playing we went inside and made jingle bell bracelets.  This was good for our fine motor skills. And the bells sound nice.

Then we had a little time to play in the dramatic play area.  Our new theme is "bakeshop." The bakers went to work and created all kinds of delicious goodies.

The sensory table is full of corn starch. It is very soft and smooth and a little squeaky when you squeeze it.

Snack in the morning was oranges and rice cakes.  Snack in the afternoon was oranges and cheese crackers.
