Wow! We fit a lot into two hours! We sorted our names by age and then sang our favorite songs.

Then we played a flower game with Miss Julie. We decorated different colored flowers by asking for certain pieces (i.e., "Blue circle," or "I want the blue circle.") and then told the class what we made (i.e., "Blue circle on red flower," or "I put the blue circle on the red flower.").

In the morning Miss Diane read a story about a rainy day. The boy wore boots and carried an umbrella. He splashed in a puddle with six frogs.

Making a new friend
In the afternoon we played hopscotch. We drew cards, matched numbers, and then had to jump-hop-jump-hop.

During centers we painted big eggs at the easel, worked at the writing table, and planted flowers at the potting bench. We also used eye-droppers to drip watercolor paint onto coffee filters. Pinching the eye droppers is good for our fine motor skills and it was fun to watch the different colors of paint run together and mix. The coffee filters will eventually be butterfly wings.

We also had some time to play in the flower shop or other areas of our choosing.

Snack today was Veggie Straws, pineapple chunks, and banana slices.
