Happy Thursday everyone!

We did a lot of hard work in the fire station again today. We started by singing songs about fire fighters during circle time.

 

Then we finished our fire fighter hats. You should find those inside your child's backpack. We also did more work with patterns. In the morning class we created an AB pattern using a fire truck stamp and a school bus stamp. In the afternoon class we created an AAB pattern with the same stamps.

 

 

We had more fun at the water table today. Miss Diane added foam letters that float on the water. We had fun finding the letters that our names start with.

Then it was time for free choice.

Our year is beginning to wind down. After our fire fighter theme we will finish with the flower shop theme. As usual, we will have a small party for the AM group and the PM group to celebrate the completion of another year and all of the things we learned. At this time the party is tentatively planned for Wednesday, May 20th. Invitations will be coming home soon to confirm the date and the time for each group. We hope to see you there.

 

By the way, snack today was oranges and crackers.



We continued on with our fire fighter theme today. We sang many songs about fighting fires and we worked more on our new vocabulary words (boots, gloves, ladder, hose, axe, etc.).

After circle time we started working on our fire fighter hats and some of us finished making our fire trucks.

We also did some painting at the easel (some of us are still thinking about pizza).

We played with water and water toys in the sensory table today.

 

 

 

 

 

Then we put our new vocabulary skills to work in the fire station.

After snack Miss Diane read a story about fire fighters. We talked about what it means to be brave.

Snack today was carrots, dip, and crackers in the morning and cantaloupe and crackers in the afternoon.
