What a busy day! We packed in a lot of activities today, both in the morning class and in the afternoon class.

 

In the morning class we sang our favorite songs and then we played a game on the Twister mat.  We had to follow directions like, "Stand on the green circle and then clap 3 times."  This gave us lots of exposure to color concepts, counting, and fun verbs like jump, clap, turn, and hop.

 

Then we went to the tables and played with some jiggly goop that Miss Bobby and Miss Calon made. It was fun to put it in the play ovens and pretend that we were baking cookies.

 

In the afternoon we started with books and puzzles. We are getting really good at putting together more complex puzzles. 

 

Then we also played a game using the Twister mat and had to follow directions like, "Stand on the green circle, turn around one time and then jump 5 times." Then we tried directions with some different concepts like, "Put one elbow on a yellow circle, put the other elbow on a blue circle, and put your head on a green circle." It was fun to get all twisted up.

 

Then we learned a rhyme called "Jack Be Nimble" and we got to practice jumping over a candlestick.

 



 

Snack today was clementines and crackers.
