Today Miss Diane was absent so Miss Linda helped out. We started our day by playing a lotto game where we had to match our card to pictures that Miss Julie named.  In the morning we played with cards from two different categories: food and clothing. In the afternoon we used four different categories: food, clothing, household items, and toys.

Then we went to centers. Our first center was rock painting.  We are getting ready for the gem and mineral show! We painted our rocks with gold or silver paint and then sprinkled on some glitter.

Then we worked on our fine motor skills by pinching white tissue paper and gluing it onto a big, white circle.  Eventually it will be a big snowman that goes on our bulletin board.

We also got to spend time painting at the easel and exploring the oatmeal at the sensory table.

We even had a little time for free play.

Finally, we listened to "The Jacket I Wear in the Snow" again and we dressed our gingerbread boy in winter clothes.

Snack today was grapes and pretzel sticks.
