Today we started our day by sorting our names by age and singing songs using our rhythm sticks. We also marched in the parade.

For art, we made a yellow chick. The chick has soft yellow feathers, one beak, two eyes for seeing, and two feet.

Then we played in the flower shop. Some of us bought and sold flowers in the shop while others planted flowers at the sensory table.

Xavier turned 4 today. Happy Birthday!!

Hello everyone!
Today was a busy day.
In the morning class we played musical chairs and marched in a parade. We also used rhythm sticks to tap out numbers, the alphabet, and the song, "Humpty Dumpty."

The afternoon class sorted their names by age and then played a block game that focused on the concepts "more," "most," "less," "least," "all," and "in the middle."
Both classes made egg collages and had a chance to write letters and draw shapes in shaving cream.

Then it was time to play!

Snack today was Craisins and crackers.

Happy Tuesday!
We started our day with books, puzzles, and some new alphabet blocks.

Next we played a game where we pretended to be the Easter Bunny delivering baskets.
Then we listened to a story called "Glad Monster, Sad Monster." In the morning we sorted pictures of people who were happy and sad and in the afternoon we talked about how our faces and bodies look when we are sad, happy, mad, and silly.

We also did some cutting on a line for an art project which will come home later in the week and we painted egg-shaped paper with water color paints.

Snack today was strawberries and crackers.
The first day of school can be exhausting!
