Lots of learning happened today! In the morning class we sang some songs and tapped our rhythm sticks with Miss Elaine. The songs told us what to do with our sticks. Sometimes we tapped them together, sometimes we rubbed them together, and sometimes we hid them behind our backs. Then we played a game with Miss Diane where she would show us a picture and we had to find the picture that showed the opposite.
Then we sequenced Little Miss Muffet with Miss Julie. We listened carefully so we could put the pictures in the right order and answer questions like, "Who sat on the tuffet?" and "What scared Miss Muffet away?" and "How do you think she felt when the spider sat next to her?"
That was a lot of sitting so then we went outside and ran around for awhile. The sand was nice and wet and perfect for building sand castles. Unfortunately, the slides were also wet.

Then we had snack. We ate apples and pretzels.

In the afternoon we sequenced Little Miss Muffet with Miss Julie and then we practiced drawing people. We had to remember that arms are attached to bodies, not to heads.

Then we went outside for just a couple of minutes before it started to rain again.

When we went back inside we played in the classroom and practiced drawing ourselves.

Don't let the moose drive the bus!
The afternoon class had bananas and vanilla wafers for snack.
