Yeehaw!
We had a boot-stompin' good time today.
Both classes started the day with books and puzzles and then we played a memory game with Miss Julie. In the morning class we played with one horse and two hats and we had to answer the question, "Where is the horse?" But did we just get to point? No way. We had to answer with a phrase like "under the red hat." In the afternoon we played with two horses and three hats and we had to answer the question, "Where is the blue/white horse?" It was a little tricky.

It is under the hat

In the afternoon we practiced galloping around the ABC rug like a cowboy/girl on a horse.

Then it was center time. We created bandanas, laced boots, made hats, painted at the easel, and played in the beans at the sensory table.

Then we had a little time for free choice.

Snack today was pears and graham crackers.
It was a fun day!

Well, there was no room for namby-pamby city slickers in the classroom today. We got all fired up doin' some cow ropin'. Yeehaw!

Did we sit around on our spurs after that? Not a chance. We did some lacing, made vests, worked with moon sand and beans, stamped 10 shapes on a strip of paper and counted them, and painted at the easel.

Hey! Blue and yellow mixed together make green!

Then it was time for free choice. We had fun grilling some cowboy and cowgirl grub and riding our horses.

Snack today was bananas and graham crackers in the morning and ice cream and graham crackers in the afternoon.
Happy Trails!
