What a terrific day we had today! Everyone worked hard and played well together. After books and puzzles we sang some songs during circle time. First we sang "What are You Wearing?" We have to be careful listeners during this song and follow directions like, "If you're wearing socks, stand up." We also tapped out our ABC's with rhythm sticks and tapped out Humpty Dumpty. Then we marched in the number parade. We started with one friend marching...

Then another friend came along and joined the march until we had five friends.

After circle time we went to centers. We did some lacing today and made Valentine's Day necklaces and we also painted rocks with shiny paint so they look like the ones you find at the gem and mineral show.

We molded and shaped red air clay into hearts and then practiced cutting the clay with scissors.

And at the end of the day Miss Diane read a story about a girl who made a special valentine for her mom out of paper hearts.
Snack today was rice cakes and pears.
