Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!

 

We had a wonderful day and everyone is getting comfortable with the daily routine.

 

We started off with puzzles and books. Miss Diane, Miss Bobbi, and Miss Calon help us find just the right puzzle to work on.

 

Next, it was circle time. We sang a song about 5 little fish swimming in the sea. Then we sorted fish into two different pools--one for big fish and one for little fish. We practiced talking about the fish using the concepts of size and color, i.e., "I have a big, blue fish."

 

 

Miss Diane read two books today. She started "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" and then read "Barnie at the Beach." We got to feel different textures in the Barney book like rough, smooth, soft, and bumpy.

 

Then it was time for centers. We painted, played with sand, played at the water table, and then worked on an AB pattern with fish.

 

 

We predicted which toys will sink and which will float.

 

Finally, it was free choice time. Some of us went to the beach and others explored different options.

 

Snack today was pretzels and peaches.
