Today was a fun day and a great way to start the week.  We have one more week at the beach before we move on to a new theme. We started the day with books and puzzles then we moved on to circle time.

In the AM class we sang about the five little fish and then used some rhythm sticks to tap out rhymes like "Humpty Dumpty."
In the PM class we marched in a parade, sang "The Wheels on the Bus," and used rhythm sticks to tap out rhymes and songs.

Miss Julie played a fun game with us today.  In the AM class we went fishing and described the fish we caught.

In the PM class we listened to a story called "I'm the Biggest Thing in the Ocean." It was about a giant squid who thought he was the biggest thing in the ocean.  After he was eaten by a whale he realized that he wasn't the biggest thing in the ocean. Then we went fishing and had to figure out if the fish we caught was smaller or bigger than the squid.

After circle time we played in the sand, splashed in the water table, and worked on our counting books and fish tanks.

Then one of our friends reminded us that it was time for snack.

We had raisins and goldfish crackers.
