Oh, the weather outside is frightful...
But our day was so delightful!
We practiced our holiday songs today and then listened to our story about Santa's helpers. We even practiced some of our lines for the holiday show.
After circle time we did some painting. Some of us painted trees with green paint at the easel. Others of us made thumbprint berries with red paint on our paper plate wreaths.
Some of us finished stringing jingle bells onto a pipe cleaner to make a bracelet. This helps our fine motor skills and makes us sound like elves.
As many of you may have already guessed (judging by the condition of your child's hair and clothes) we played with flour at the sensory table today.
And, wow, was the bakeshop busy today! Lots of us were mixing and frosting and baking and taking holiday orders for cakes and pies.
Others preferred the quiet of the theater.
At the end of the day Miss Diane read "Red Light, Red Light."
Snack today was cheese, crackers and apples.
It was a great day.
