Welcome to Miss Diane's bake shop. We are busy getting ready for the holidays. After books and puzzles we started learning some fun holiday songs that we will all sing together at the holiday party. We practiced Jingle Bells, Old Toy Trains, Must Be Santa, Up On the Housetop, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas (one verse is silly and goes, "We fish you a hairy christmoose and a hippo new year").

Then we started our holiday wreath project by painting the rims of paper plates with some green paint.

We also played with flour in the sensory table and made pretend Christmas cookies at the playdough table.

Then we had a little extra time to play in the bake shop.

Finally we had snack (apples and crackers) and then we Miss Julie read a story. In the morning class we heard a story about different animals that wanted to help Santa pull his sleigh. Dolphins, penguins, and skunks didn't work out so well.

In the afternoon we heard about the trouble Santa had finding good helpers for his workshop. Mummies, mermaids, and wizards were not so good at building toys.

Hmmm. Who will Santa find to be his helpers? Stay tuned and you will find out!

Have a great day!
