Oops.
Sometimes the teachers get really busy and we forget to take pictures. That is what happened this morning. It was a great morning. We started with puzzles and books and then we sang songs. We also did more patterning work with mittens and discussed the word "pair."

We had snow in the sensory table and white silly putty to cut with scissors (we also pretended that it was mozzarella cheese, marshmallows, and ice cream). Then Miss Diane read a beautiful book called Bear Sees Colors.
In the afternoon we played "What's Missing?" but this time Miss Diane made it harder. Instead of two bears under the blanket there were four -- two big bears and two little bears. She would cover the bears up with a  blanket and then take one away. We had to figure out which one was gone. It was tricky! Then the afternoon class worked on patterning mittens as well. During free choice we played with silly putty, explored in the snow sensory tub, and then played in the camping area.  It was a fun day!

Snack today was pretzels and cranberries.

Today was a great day! We have some new friends who have joined us and we are enjoying getting to know them. We started our day with books and puzzles.

At circle time we used rhythm sticks to tap out our ABC's and 123's. Then we learned a new song that helps us listen to and follow directions. Then in the morning class Miss Diane played a fun game called "What is Missing?" She hid two bears under a blanket and then took one away. We had to figure out if she took the little bear or the big bear.

During center time the morning class sequenced the letters in their names and finished up the snowman paintings.

The afternoon class built snowmen out of really big marshmallows and candy.

Both classes worked with white putty and played with the snow in the sensory table.

Snack today was apples and pretzels.

Today was another snowy day in Miss Diane's class. During circle time we learned a new song. We pretended to ice skate around the ABC rug until the singer told us to "freeze." Then we started skating again when he told us to "melt." We also sang "The Wheels on the Bus" in the morning class.
Then money on the bus goes clink, clink, clink.

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep.

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish.
Then Miss Julie played a game called "Find the Snowball." We had to guess which mitten the snowball was under. But we couldn't point. We had to use our words and ask the question, "Is it under the (color) mitten?"
In the morning we painted snowmen with a mixture made out of shaving cream and glue. Then we added the parts that a snowman needs like eyes, a mouth, a nose, and some arms.

In the afternoon we worked on our "Winter" books. We used a special kind of crayon called a rock crayon. They help us with our pincer grip.

We also had some time for free choice.

Snack today was blueberries and crackers.
