Have you ever wondered what would have happened to Humpty Dumpty had he not been an egg? Of course you have. Well, today we did an experiment to see what would happen to Humpty Dumpty if he was something different. We experimented with Rock Humpty Dumpty, Putty Humpty Dumpty, Puff Ball Humpty Dumpty, Super Ball Humpty Dumpty, Bean Bag Humpty Dumpty, and Suction Cup Humpty Dumpty. Before each of the Humpty Dumptys took their great fall we made a prediction: What will happen? Will he break? Will he bounce? Will the landing be loud?
Then Miss Diane talked about measuring. We used a tape measure and yard sticks to measure some dolls and then ourselves. We talked about who was taller and who was shorter. Then Miss Bobbi measured us and got to decorate a ribbon that shows how tall we are.
We also spent some time doing our center activities. We washed baby clothes and hung them on a clothesline, played with playdough, found seashells in sand, and drew with chalk. We even had a little time to play in the housekeeping area and with some other toys.
We had snack (clementines and pretzels) and then Miss Diane read a silly story about where we put things. Do we put our socks in the wading pool? On our noses? NO! We put socks on our feet. What about ice cream? Do we put it on our shoes? In a toy truck? NO! We put it in a bowl (or in a cone).
Have a great evening!
