Today we continued with our harvest/farm theme in Miss Diane's room. During circle time we played a listening game with farm animals. Miss Julie would give us directions like, "Put the pig on top of the barn," and "Put the pig under the tractor." Then, Miss Julie would ask, "Where is the pig?" Pointing, or saying "Right there," was not allowed. We had to use the right spatial word. In the morning we focused on "in," "on," and "under." In the afternoon we focused on "in front," "behind," "next to," and "under."

In the morning, we also walked up and down stairs and jumped over a candle. Then we rowed in a boat.

Both classes had a chance to make a fun collage using sticky contact paper.
And the afternoon class danced to a song about moving forward, backward, and side to side.

We also played with orange playdough, played at the sensory table in the cornmeal, and visited the farmer's market. Unfortunately, the farmer's market doesn't sell batteries so we only have two pictures of the afternoon class.

Snack today was carrots, pretzels, and dip.
