What a terrific Tuesday! We welcomed some new friends to the class and had a lot of fun. We even learned a thing or two. The morning class started the day with books and puzzles. Then we sang some songs during circle time. We sang "Baby Beluga" and "Humpty Dumpty."
The afternoon class marched in a parade and then sang "Old McDonald." We also sorted our names by our favorite shape and named fruits and vegetables that Miss Diane found in a horn of plenty.
Both classes played a game with Miss Julie. The morning class chose a toy from a basket and then helped sort the toys into groups. There were vehicles (things that go), animals, and vegetables.
The afternoon class had to look at a group of four things and decide which one did not belong and explain why.
Then both classes made a horn of plenty and did some spider web painting with a golf ball.
Then it was free choice time. We played with playdough, cornmeal, water in the water table, and in the famers' market.
Snack today was crackers and apples.
